Objective: Reach out to 22 veterans within the next month to raise awareness and make active steps to provide support and connection.
It is so easy to do the 22 pushups a day, but in the end maybe people become more aware, but actually reaching out, calling, talking to a veteran, checking on them, having a conversation will do so much more toward ending veteran suicide.
Instructions:
-
Reach out to at least 22 Veterans during the month of February.
-
Personal Connection: Reach out to each veteran personally through a phone call, video call, or in-person meeting if possible. Share a genuine conversation, inquire about their well-being, and express your gratitude for them and their service.
-
Listen and Support: Be a good listener and offer your support. Sometimes, just having someone to talk to can make a significant difference. If they express any struggles or challenges, encourage them to seek professional help and provide information about available resources.
-
Share the Challenge: Encourage others to join the initiative and spread awareness about the importance of supporting veterans.
-
Encourage Others: Challenge your friends, family, and followers to participate in Operation Battle Buddy Outreach. The more people involved, the greater the impact we can have on raising awareness and providing support.
-
Follow Up: After the initial outreach, follow up with the veterans periodically to maintain the connection. A simple message or call to check in can make a lasting impact.
Remember, the goal of Operation Battle Buddy Outreach is to create a proactive and supportive community for veterans. Your effort might be the lifeline someone needs. Let's stand together in solidarity and make a positive impact on the lives of those who have served our country. Don't underestimate the power of a simple call. In the end, this helps us all.
